Hello friend, thanks for stopping by.

Art and design is truly my passion and it's been a part of my life for more years than I can count. That's untrue, it's 25. My career began when I started making promotional flyers for a nightclub I worked at in Atlanta, and after a few years I relocated to New York City to follow my dream of being anywhere but Atlanta.

Of course, I hardly knew what I was doing back then. I only knew I wanted to be as great as the artists and designers I looked up to. Being self-taught requires a lot of discipline and many years on the grind. Which I did, at a little internet company called UGO.com on the corner of Broadway & Bond St. The entire graphics department consisted of myself and my (still dear) friend Jaime. We taught ourselves Illustrator, Flash, Fireworks, 3DSMax, all of that golden era digital design explosion stuff.

After a decade in the Big A, I left for Los Angeles and spent a solid five years or so working as designer & director for some truly awesome agencies like Ignition Creative, WildCard / 3AM.  I learned a lot and made some lasting relationships, and I continue to work with them and a list of others as a freelancer on individual projects.

I left the full-time agency life to pursue a loftier role as Creative Director for a tech startup, Flaregun, which was challenging work the way most startups are, full of growing pains, missteps and hard lessons. But it was highly rewarding on a personal level, and the knowledge and experience gained were worth every moment.

These days I'm still working on various hare-brained ideas that "just might work!" as well as continuing to take on agency projects, a broad range of TV and film development design work, and more. If you like what you see and want to get in touch, I would love to hear from you.
